Eindhoven: a top service center location

U.S.-based Molex, founded in 1938, designs, manufactures and sells complete interconnect solutions for a number of industries, including: data communications, telecommunications, consumer electronics, industrial, automotive, commercial vehicle, aerospace and defense, medical, and lighting. With a global workforce of over 42,000 people in 39 countries, Molex leverages extensive worldwide capabilities including engineering, development, manufacturing and sales to meet customer needs.

Initially, Molex opened a Dutch sales office in Eindhoven in 1978 to cover the Benelux region and established a European warehouse and service center (known internally as MIG) in 1994. In April 2007, Molex expanded its MIG operation into a new, state-of-the-art, 3,100-square-meter facility with updated technology capabilities. Approximately 120 workers representing 25 nationalities work at this facility now, working closely with Molex’s European Distribution Center in Germany to optimize order deliveries to European customers.

“The Netherlands’ strong language skills, environmental focus, and well-educated workforce were major factors in locating one of Molex’s service centers in Eindhoven,” said Martin Slark, Chief Executive Officer of Molex. “We service more countries from the Eindhoven location than any of our other global service centers. This is a testament to the skill level of our employees there.”
